Acquiring a golf handicap certificate can be quite difficult in certain countries of the world. Best of Scotland Holidays has this package to make things easy for you by teaming up with Elmwood College (see note below). The college, a short drive from St. Andrews, has its own golf course, Elmwood.
Getting your handicap is easy and fun and can be combined with a holiday in Scotland. Stay in St. Andrews for 4 nights, driving to Elmwood Golf Course near Cupar, daily, to play 3 separate rounds of golf. You will be accompanied by a golf society member (who will golf with you) and they will mark your card. After 3 cards have been successfully submitted to the club a handicap certificate will be issued. This certificate will be recognised by any golf club around the world. In addition, you will become both an International member and a Society member of Elmwood Golf Course for a year. This will allow you to play unlimited golf at Elmwood for a period of 8 weeks, spread throughout the year.

Elmwood College is recognised as a national and international centre for golf-related specialisms.
Elmwood’s facilities provide a learning environment for our professional golf students, who train under the watchful eye of the College’s PGA Golf Professional, with a view to working eventually as golf coaches.
The College offers courses in Golf Facility Management at Higher National Certificate and Diploma levels, which are designed to equip students with the necessary skills to manage facilities on all aspects of golf clubs excluding the playing surfaces but including driving ranges, conference facilities, pro shop and catering facilities.
