| Golf Packages Ireland - Dublin and Surrounds |
|
Inspiration to a raft of famous writers, Shaw, Joyce, Wilde and Yeats amongst them. Dublin is now a modern city, with tremendous energy and excitement about it. Great for shopping, great for pubs (and Guinness) and, of course, there's the craic.
The courses in the Dublin area are an interesting mixture of the old and the new. The most senior course is Royal Dublin, Co. Louth (Baltry) is a fine challenging links, in the traditional sense, and Portmarnock has seen more great events than any other on the Irish mainland, including hosting many Irish Opens, a tribute to a formidable test of golf. The course at the Portmarnock Hotel also gives an interesting round, whilst there are some excellent new courses also claiming their share of the limelight - The European Club, Mount Juliet, Druid's Glen and the K Club. |
