London Theatre Breaks

The Theatre District in London has a show on offer to suit every taste, be it a toe-tapping musical, a laugh out loud comedy, murder mystery or serious drama. Our Weekend Theatre Hotel Breaks allow you to splash-out in style or travel within a budget, for a short break, special occasion, or simply a surprise treat for a partner, parent or friend.

Make your selection from the shows featured below (this is not an exhaustive list, we can source best available tickets for the majority of performances – subject to availability on the date you require).   • Avenue Q - Avenue Q is not the most upmarket of New York streets, and is about as far away from Park Avenue as you can get, but it is home to some lively and off the wall characters...
  • Billy Elliot - the Musical is an adaptation of one of the most adored British films of the last decade - one of the most talked about theatrical events.
  • Blood Brothers - Willy Russell's award-winning musical, Blood Brothers, features Liverpudlian twins who are separated at birth and go on to lead very different lives.
  • Cabaret - 1931: While the rest of Berlin prepares for war, inside the Kit Kat Klub everything is dark, sexual and morally ambiguous. The world of nightclub performer Sally Bowles.
  • Chicago - murder, greed, corruption, treachery, adultery, violence, exploitation! ...All those things we hold near and dear to our hearts. Based on true events in 1920’s Chicago.
  • Dirty Dancing - live on stage for the first time ever, the captivating story takes place at a resort called Kellerman's, in Catskill, New York in the summer of 1963.
  • Donkeys Years - A Hell of a reunion! Twenty five years after graduation, six former students return to their university college for a reunion dinner.
  • Evita - one of the world's greatest musicals, returns to London's West End after 21 years. With music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Evita tells the story of the iconic Eva Perón,
  • Footloose - tells the story of city boy Ren who has to move to a rural backwater in America where dancing is banned.
  • Les Miserables - a musical adaptation of Victor Hugo’s great humanitarian novel of one man’s determined survival in the face of another’s vengeful persecution.
  • Mamma Mia! - based on a book by Catherine Johnson, Mamma Mia! is an original musical telling the emotional story of a mother and daughter set on the eve of the daughter's wedding.
  • Mary Poppins - the highly sought after super-nanny, Mary Poppins, finally makes her much awaited stage debut in one of the most eagerly anticipated musicals ever.
  • Phantom of the Opera - set in a Paris circa 1911, Andrew Lloyd Webber's romantic musical is based on Gaston Leroux's gothic novel of life beneath the stage in Paris Opera House.
  • Sound of Music - stars the recently discovered new talent of musical theatre, Connie Fisher, voted to play the part of Maria by the British public on the top-rating BBC TV programme. (From 15th November)
  • Spamalot - lovingly ripped off from the classic film comedy Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Spamalot is the new musical directed by Oscar winning Mike Nichols.
  • Stomp - no script, no plot... just an uplifting musical experience! Theatrical sensation, Stomp, debuted at the 1991 Edinburgh Festival.
  • The Lion King - Disney's marvellous musical about the young Prince Simba, his father King Mufasa and evil Uncle Scar. Fantastic choreography and an award winning score.
  • The Mousetrap - The Mousetrap is a charming murder mystery set over a 1930's weekend gathering in a remote country house.
  • We Will Rock You - featuring the music of Queen, the show is set in a future where styles are dictated, and boy and girl groups rule the charts.
  • Wicked - two girls meet in the land of Oz. One, born with emerald-green skin, is smart, feisty and misunderstood. The other is beautiful, ambitious and very, very popular.
  • Woman in Black - tells the story of a keen young solicitor who is sent to wind up the affairs of a recently deceased woman. He pieces together the details of her strange reclusive life.
